A nice sunset last night!  This photo taken looking along the sea wall towards The Bourne Arms public house.

I again telephoned the hospital this morning to see if there is any progress on the waiting list but despite the promise to ring me back with an update, they still haven't as of 4.30pm.

Another great sunset last night.

I am still having difficulties with my Route Maps - although they are displaying correctly on this site, they are incorrect on Google Maps, and I am unable to correct the fault.  Maybe they will have to be scrapped and started again? A recent change of computer to one running Windows 8 is not helping matters!

20/09/13  Contacted the hospital again and was told that I have a "provisional, pencilled in" date of 14th October for my operation.

22/09/13  Half a century ago, I left my home town of Little Hulton to join the Navy and see the world......I feel ancient!!

26/09/13  The hospital phoned me and confirmed my operation date of the 14th of next month, with an appointment for pre-op tests on the 2nd October.
