08/07/23 Sat. Spent part of yesterday and this morning on Terry's boat chasing a fault on the charging system of his port engine.  I think I've found it but won't know because he will reassemble it all tomorrow and by then we will be in KK for our flight to Manila early Monday morning.

09/07/23 Sun. Got a taxi down to KK about 9am, arrived just before 1pm, had some lunch and wandered around for a while until going to the airport to check in for our flight at midnight.

10/07/23 Mon.  The usual flight delay with Air Asia meant we took off an hour late and then spent 2 hours circling Manila before landing at 6am.  Checked into the Rothman Hotel in Malate about 8am.

17/07/23 Mon.  We've been to Batangas by bus to see Ana's daughter Princess, touring the ferry on which she works, wandered around several shopping malls, Ana has been home to Valenzuela to see the other children and the new house and it's rained most days while here!  Checked out of the hotel at mid-day and made our way to Metro Manila and the airport for yet another very early morning flight with Cebu Pacific.

18/07/23 Tues. A short delay to the flight again, arrived in KK at 3am, got some breakfast and a taxi back to Kudat.  While we've been away, there have been strong winds and the boats have moved considerably but we were too tired to do much about it today.

19/07/23 Weds.  Re-positioned mooring ropes and tightened them up, moving Shelley and Rhumb Do close to the original positions.  I've now come down with a cold - always a problem with flying!

29/07/23 Sat. Ana has been busy sewing a large awning for the catamaran Moana and also some hatch covers.  I've been over on Terry's boat trying to solve the alternator problem along with a fridge problem.  They are leaving tomorrow but need parts to rectify their problems! Craig and Josephine have returned from the UK so we are catching up with the news from there.
