01/01/23 Sun.  Happy New Year to all family, friends and fellow sailors.  I hope you all have a healthy 2023!

02/01/23 Mon.  I am thinking of getting a new mainsail made at Hyde Sails in Cebu, mine is very old, stretched and saggy!

07/01/23 Sat.  Spent the day in the seaplane hangar sewing Cory's genoa sail for him, from which the sacrificial UV strip was coming unstitched.

13/01/23 Fri.  Fitted 'Zosha's new mainsail cover, then went to immigration to collect my passport with new visa.  Still trying to get a quote from Hyde Sails for a new 'loose foot mainsail' but they keep sending me quotes for a fixed foot sail.

21/01/23 Sat.  What's been happening?  Not a lot is the answer!  We've had rain and strong winds.  On a calm morning I managed to hoist the mainsail and take a load of measurements and placed an order with Hyde Sails in Cebu for a new one.  Also booked a flight up to Cebu for Tuesday, just to iron out any misunderstandings with Mark in Hyde Sails and to have a look around the sail loft.  Ana has been busy making new window covers for 'Zosha' - waiting for beading for those.  I've been busy with a few little electrical jobs around the boat.

24/01/23 Tues.  Caught our early evening flight up to Cebu arriving there at 9pm.  No trikes here, just taxi's and our driver from the airport to hotel (a distance of 1.4Km) managed to get lost twice!  This was despite me showing him where we wanted to go on Google Maps.  The hotel was very new, very clean and the staff helpful although traffic noise, which we are not used to, is a bit of a problem!

25/01/23 Weds.  After breakfast, we made our way to Hyde Sails and met Mark who showed us around the sail loft - and my new sail which was in production.  It should be ready next week he told us.  In the afternoon we went into Cebu city itself and wandered around a large shopping mall.

26/01/23 Thurs.  We wandered locally after breakfast and made our way to the airport in mid afternoon for our flight back to Palawan.

27/01/23 Fri.  Mark phoned this morning and said my sail was ready for dispatch - now if I'd known it would have been so quick, I would have waited in Cebu another day and brought it back myself!

29/01/23 Sun.  We are once again experiencing strong winds in the anchorage, but at least it keeps the boat a little cooler.
