08/02/23 Weds.  My sail was dispatched on the 31st of last month via LBC couriers.  Bear in mind it's only an hour flight from Cebu to PP.  Tracking shows it spent 8 days in the warehouse in Cebu before being flown to Manila to be 'sorted'.  The mind boggles!  Ana is being kept busy with sewing jobs from various boats - sail covers, dinghy covers, cushion covers etc etc.  Mark and Kim are on their way from Manila to Auckland to attend a  wedding and will be back at the end of the month.

11/02/23 Sat.  So my sail arrived in the yacht club at 5pm today, now for the fun and games of fitting it and altering the sail cover to fit.

13/02/23 Mon.  The new sail is on but we are going to need new reefing lines and some adjustments to the sail cover .

14/02/23 Tues.  Bought some new 10mm braid on braid for the reefing lines today, whipped the ends while we wait for better, drier weather to measure the cover for adjustments.

22/02/23 Weds. Today I received a phone call from my nephew Kevin with the sad news that my brother Clive had passed away during the night.  I will miss him a great deal.  My thoughts are with Kevin, Jane, Daniel and Vicky.

R.I.P. brother, your watch is over.

 

28/02/23 Tues.  Ana has been making a dinghy cover for Graham and Magda which is now complete.
